I’m not sure if it was changed or if its a bug, but i haven’t encountered any of the third slot mons since the update.
You need to defeat the elite four to encounter those mons, if I’m not mistaken.
Ah, good to know. I was confused as it used to be after the 6th badge.
You’re not mistaken, also 6th badge unlocks 2nd slot of friend safari pokemon 1.2 onwards.
