Opinions on current team?

I’m at the 4th Gym Leader and I’m having some trouble so I’m looking for some opinions or suggestions.

I’d rather not replace these:

Lv. 53 Tyrantrum [Stealth Rock, Dragon Tail, Earthquake, Crunch]

Lv. 53 Delta Snorlax [Leaf Blade, Yawn, Rest, Crunch]

Lv. 53 Delta Roserade [Lunar Cannon, Moonblast, Moonlight, New Moon]

I don’t mind replacing these:

Lv. 52 Eevee [Custom Fire Move (I thought it would work with Mega but it doesn’t), Bite, Return, Refresh]

  • This is my worst as far as I’m concerned. I barely use it as I haven’t run into any decent TM’s yet. Its only redeemable quality is the Mega Evolution. Should I replace this and wait for better TMs or just forget about it entirely?

Lv. 51 Blaziken [Flame Charge, Brave Bird, Aerial Ace, Double Kick]

  • I was looking in the friend safari for a fighting type because I needed to farm heart scales and it dawned on me that both my rivals use Grass Type Legendaries. I figured I could kill 2 birds with one stone so I grabbed this. I’m undecided on whether or not I should keep it.

Lv. 50 Rotom [Shock Wave, Livewire, Ominous Wind, Confuse Ray]

  • I’ve had this since I started playing and it didn’t always have Livewire. I recently converted it into a secondary hazard setter so I barely use it in fights anymore. When I do it’s mainly setting livewire, confusing and dying. I know that doesn’t sound very useful but it actually has been, so I’m still undecided on whether or not I should keep this.

You could always go to the one Move Tutor in the city as she teaches Eevee special moves which could help with your Eevee problem.

In Helios City there is an old woman that teaches Eevee good moves like Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Moonblast, etc. That will help you with your Eevee.

I say keep Blaziken: the fifth gym has Steel and Electric types, and the fourth gym has some Normal types, so maybe try to find a stronger fighting-type move for Blaziken between the fourth and fifth gym if you do wind up keeping it. Plus, you can never go wrong with a bit of STAB.

Didn’t know about the Move Tutor. Thanks!

I’d definitely recommend replacing Rotom, he’s helpful early to mid-game, but is outclassed beyond that. I’m partial to Magnezone and Electivire, so I’d recommend one of those. It might be too late to evolve Eevee into Jolteon.

If you want to use Mega-Eevee you don’t want to evolve it. Mega Eevee gets stab boost from all attacks and can cover 4 different types easily. Rotom also isn’t bad, can definitely replace for the moment but later on you can change form to Wash-Rotom which has really good bulk and water/elec stab coverage.

When you use the Move Tutor, if you’re planning to EV train your… starter (I’m not doing the pun sorry), I suggest you go for a Special Set (Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Moonblast/Psychic), since I think those Eeveelutions are generally better than the Physical-oriented ones Mega Eevee can most easily access.
