Tyranitar (armor) not ev or iv trained yet… Moveset: Stone Edge, Fire Fang, Crunch, Earthquake
Greninja - not trained yet had to breed one with protean
So now i need 2 more Pokemon. Im thinking i kinda need a pokemon to cover fairy. Would be nice if you guys could give me some suggestions. And please take a look at my moveset. Im 100% sure alot of my movesets are crap. This is just what i learned while completing the story.
Btw is D. Charizard any good? or would a regular Charizard be better?
The charizard needs lunar cannon. It is a powerful dark move which is boosted on mega and not have to wait a turn due to the noctem ability.
I think a delta Gardevoir would be good as it can beat dragon types, grass and water . Needs fighting type
Allright gave D. Charizard lunar cannon instead of frost breath.
Yeah delta gardevoir sounds good i think im going to get one. Not sure about the movesets from Greninja, Metagross or Tyranitar. A lot of good TMs arent in yet and i dont know how to breed moves.
You already have a solid check for fairy being Metagross. I think you have a pretty big ground weakness, you could try using Gliscor, Rotom-W, or Talonflame.
In a future update, Noctem will stop boosting ghost type moves and ghost and dark type moves have identical super effective coverage so you would actually want to replace Shadow Ball with Lunar Cannon, but as of the current version of the game, Shadow Ball is still stronger at the moment.
You could try breeding a Togekiss with Serene Grace and Air Slash/Aura Sphere/Nasty Plot/Ancient Power. I would replace one of the moves on your Tyranitar with Stealth Rock (probably Fire Fang), seems a waste not to run it. Swap Metal Claw on Metagross for Bullet Punch to get priority. If you’re using it for the chance to raise attack, replace it with Power-Up Punch whenever it becomes available or if you can breed it.
can i replace Talonflame with Charizard with a charizardite y? I guess it would cover my ground weakness aswell?
The only different is that its a sp.atk pokemon instead of a atk pokemon but i think i already have enough atk pokemon with metagross and tyranitar.
I’ve changed Fire Fang on my Tyranitar for Stealth Rock but i guess its only good against players in battles? I mean you dont see often NPCs changing their pokemons?
I don’t know about Metagross or T-tar, but I can help with Greninja. The best moveset would be:
Hydro Pump, Dark Pulse, Ice Beam and maybe Extrasensory for extra coverage. But here are the problems:
First fo all, to get Dark Pulse, you would have to breed your Greninja I believe. There’s no TM for that attack, so I thinkg breeding is your only option. (Though I don’t know if it’s possible in Insurgence).
Second of all, make sure that Greninja’s nature doesn’t lower its Special Attack as it is its dominant stat (aside from Speed). Protean provides nice STAB boost, so it would be a bummer if your Sp.Attack was weak.
Third of all, Hydro Pump can be raplaced by either Scald or Surf, depending on what you want. The low PP number can bite you back, so its safer to go with another move. Surf for more damage, Scald for the burn chance.
And finally, Extrasensory can be replaced with any move you want. If you want priority, use Water Shuriken or Shadow Sneak if possible., if you want defence - use Protect.
I think thats pretty much it. Thanks for listening, Papa Bless You.
Yes i am looking into breeding right now for a greninja with that moveset. Im probably gonna go for Surf and instead of protect, water shuriken or shadow sneak im gonna go with spikes. I thought about using spikes in combination with stealth rock and sandstorm (both from tyranitar). That would be alot of passive damage.
What item would be the best in your opinion? Im using lifeorb right now but tbh i dont really like it for regular gameplay (it might be good against other players)
As for the item, most Greninjas use either Life Orb or Focus Sash. Greninja is a glass canon so it’s only logical to go for max attack with the Life Orb, hoping that it’s knock out the foe in one hit. The Sash would make you safe from a supereffective attack that would knock you out.
If you don’t want to use either of these items I think I would go for the Expert Belt. It boosts supereffective attacks so it would be a good combination with Greninja’s big movepoll and Protean. Just make sure you will always go for a supereffective attack.
I thinks that pretty much it. I’m not a specialist, but I tried to halp you as much as I could. I hope I helped, Papa Bless You.
You can’t breed greninja with dark pulse and ice beam in current update. I got it from someone who had it bred in previous updates by trading him a shiny.
Stealth rock will still damage when NPCs send in a new pokemon. Charizard and Talonflame are both fire/flying, but Talonflame has a better ability in Gale Wings which gives it priority to flying type moves, including Roost. Downside is that its stats are lower but access to Sword Dance fixes that. Up to you really, but if you plan on using D. Charizard as a mega, there wouldn’t be much point in using regular Charizard with charizardite y since you can only mega evolve 1 pokemon during a battle.
You can use Excadrill, since you have a Tyranitar in your team both can make a great combo. But you do already have a Metagross as a Steel Type.
Also, D-Roserade make a good addition with M-D-Charizard, they are New Moon pals (:
