How to update the version without losing the savefile?

Hello, Since I couldn’t find a similar question in my quick search, I wanted to ask if someone could explain to a dummy how I update to the new version without any risk of losing my savefile?

You savefiles are saved on another location on your computer. Updating the gamefiles does not interfere with you save games.

You can find your Saved games at:
USERS / [name] / Saved Games / Pokemon Insurgence

If you do not totally trust it, you can back those files up in another map on your desktop.
