I rushed into the Jade Tower quest and East fight too early; my team ranges from levels 41 to 45, and his team are all level 49. They’re also a balanced competitive team with multiple members packing Draco Meteor, and my starter and only Mega option is Delta Charizard. I thought I’d be able to run back and grind if the fight was too hard, but apparently it autosaved me right at the start of the pre-fight cutscene. My team is just too weak to win this. Is there any way out of this situation or do I need to restart?
Why not … lose? It’ll put you back at the last center you used.
Welp, now I feel really stupid. A combination of the dialogue implying a game-over and the fact that the last fangame I played (Pokemon Uranium) actually did have some game-over losses meant I’ve just been resetting every time losing becomes inevitable in the hopes of getting some lucky crits on the next try.
