I can’t seem to find any mega stones. I’ve been clicking on the exact place the mega stones are supposed to be, but I’m getting random other items instead. Do I have to reach a certain part of the game before I can find the stones?

This seems to be the case. The directions on the Wiki were apparently not great and on multiple occasions could have applied to multiple items. I watched a video, which helped. Not sure why I didn’t think of that before.
