Players in insurgence should be able to create their own gym, which allows them to be the leader of that gym. Let’s start with the way you could layout your gym. The place why your gym is held could easily be one of the secret bases that you can choose from. From there you could design the gym with teleporters, make a maze with trees and dolls, etc. Maybe there could even be items you have to get or switches you have to touch to open doors. An important part of any gym is the trainers, and this could be done by buying a gym builder guy from the tablet in your secret base. From there you could talk to him and he’d ask three things: what pokemon do you want the leader (which is you) to use?, can I take you to your gym (so you could design the base) and what kind of trainer I can make for you? The trainer customization could be the gym builder guy asking you what type of trainer you want (example, an ace trainer, or bug catcher, or youngster, etc.) Then you could give that trainer a unique name. After, you could have the choice of where to place that trainer. I think there should be a max amount of trainers allowed in one gym but that could be figured out later. Next you could talk to your newly created trainer to decide what pokemon to give to him/her. The way I thought of to do this is that you could pick any pokemon in the game to give to he trainer and, of course, he could have a max of 6 pokemon (the restrictions to this though are no more 2 of the same pokemon and no more then 2 legendaries between the leader and trainers (2 legendaries cannot be on the same team)). Then you would have to choose that pokemon’s moveset, ev’s, iv’s, nature, ability and item. With the moves though, you couldn’t be able to give the pokemon moves it couldn’t normally learn, same with abilities (like Infernape couldn’t learn surf or have the ability wonder guard). This could be repeated for every pokemon you want that trainer to have and for every trainer you decide to have in your gym. The pokemon that the leader would use (you) would have to be raised by you and given an item that you have and trained in ev’s the way you want it, etc.
To put the gym on the internet, you could go to the secret base and where it says upload base, there would be a different option that said “upload gym.” Then players could “visit gym” instead of visit base. The creation of a gym for players brings a whole new twist on strategy and multiplayer battling. Players could even win badges that the leader could design, and you could win items and other things from a guy in the game or a buyable guy in the secret base for a certain amount of multiplayer badges.

this is an awesome idea. you should also be able to access an item only in the gym as the leader to give the leader any pokemon for a team but only in that gym

Actually Zeta/Omicron has a similar idea where you have your own gym and people challenge you.

Pokemon Zeta/Omicron are the previous games from the insurgence developers. Since they incorporated a lot of features from those games in Insurgence they might include the custom gym in the final version.

I would be find only with being a trainer that other players can fight against, but a whole gym would be a lot of fun. And I’m sure they’ll bring back that idea from Zeta/Omicron, after all the delta and shadow pokemons are back (I think the shadow will too right ?) so this should be a thing again
